September 30, 2023 - a special night of music to celebrate the life and work of Art Abrams who presents his brand-new, Elvis-inspired big band, The King Machine!
The 2018 Portland Jazz Master, Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee, bandleader of Art Abrams Swing Machine Big Band, and beloved KMHD DJ, this renowned musician now in his nineties still brings the heat and swings with the best. Featuring vocalist LaRhonda Steele, and a host of Portland jazz luminaries, The King Machine showcases Art's personally curated selection of Elvis Presley's music played to that big band sound Art has poured his heart, soul, and life into perfecting.
