Our Mission
In partnership with God and in gratitude for God’s gifts, the Green Team of Kairos-Milwaukie UCC seeks to honor the integrity of creation, minimize our congregation’s impact on the environment, raise awareness of environmental and sustainability issues in the wider community, and advocate for the equitable distribution of resources throughout the world.
Our Goals
- Identify building improvements for energy efficiency and savings.
- Work to reduce our energy use by 20% of our 2005 usage by 2015 or sooner.
- Collect and disseminate recycling and sustainability information through the Sunday bulletin and monthly newsletter articles.
- Work to develop opportunities to share our experiences with other congregations.
